Taylor Swift-Nicki Minaj Feud: Taylor Says Sorry

Two Tour Members of Nicki Minaj Stabbed in Philadelphia; 1 Dead, Another Critically Injured

(Photo : Reuters) A stabbing near a Philadelphia bar on early Wednesday left one of Nicki Minaj's tour members dead and another critical injured, the singer said.

Leave it to Taylor Swift to be the bigger woman and actually say sorry in a feud.

It seems like everyone's favorite best friend is maturing quite fast, as Taylor Swift took matters into her own hands and apologized for lashing out at Nicki Minaj on Twitter earlier this week. Fox News reported that the former country crooner said via Twitter that she thought she had been called out by the rapper and that she had missed the point of what she was talking about and quickly snapped at the tweet.

Luckily, the "Anaconda" rapper greeted the tweet with open arms and easily accepted the apology. The Guardian reported that in response to Swift, Minaj wrote how her public apology meant a lot to her. In a follow up tweet, the "Super Bass" superstar explained how much she loved Taylor, and despite everyone making mistakes, she explains how she has gained so much respect from him.

The feud was about the nomination for the Video of the Year award in the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards, wherein Nicki Minaj's bootylicious music video "Anaconda" was not included. She went to Twitter and fired off, somehow hitting Taylor Swift in the process and gaining Katy Perry's attention.

There are naysayers that the small spat between these colliding stars is the reason why people will watch the almost-dying MTV VMAs, with The Daily Beast reporting that the feud pretty much saved the awards ceremony.

It is a well-known fact that it has been eons since MTV has decided to play a music video in their barely breathing network, spewing out reality shows and TV series instead. However, thanks to the Twitter tumble that spanned two days, it might just be high time for MTV to once again consider putting back the music in Music Television, and to make MTV synonymous with the phrase "music videos."
