‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Release Date, Third Top Grossing Movie Ever

The blockbuster movie "Jurassic World" is expected to take the big screen once again for a sequel set to premiere on June 2018.
The movie comeback will be executively produced by Steven Spielberg under Amblin Entertainment. Fans can also still expect similar stars to the last sequel, as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will reprise their roles in the movie as well as Colin Trevorrow who is co-writing the screenplay, CBS News reported.

In an interview with the news site, "Jurassic World" star Howard revealed, "We wanted to make a movie for people who were coming of age when the original film came out and would see now as adults and love."
Following the movie's epic success, earning the spot of the third top-grossing movie ever with $1.522 billion global box office sales, Universal confirmed the Park will still be open. According to Forbes, "Jurassic World" has surpassed the worldwide gross of "The Avengers" which trailed close behind at $1.50 billion.
According to Comcast, their revenues rose by 93% or $2.3 billion from last year mainly due to the top grossing Universal movies "Furious 7" and "Jurassic World, reported Reuters.
Other Universal movies in line for the year include M Night Shyamalan's horror film "The Visit", Aaron Sorkin's biopic "Steve Jobs", and Guillermo Del Toro's gothic horror "Crimson Peak," the news site added.
The still untitled sequel to the dinosaur adventure will be released on June 22, 2018.
Meanwhile, in the U.K., the record-breaking, highly-anticipated dinosaur movie helped increase cinema attendance among British movie fans by a tenth. "Jurassic World" also made a whopping £57.2 million at the U.K. box office, The Telegraph reported.
Overall movie attendance between January and June increased by was recorded at 83.14 million people, it added.
Other top grossing films of the year among the U.K. audiences include "The Avengers", "Fast & Furious 7", "The Theory of Everything", and "Cinderella" among others.
