Movie premieres are usually filled with actors having dates in tow. Going above and beyond the standard of having dates, Tom Cruise brought someone no one would ever suspect: Simon Pegg.
With both looking all casual, the "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" stars arrived at the world premiere of their movie in Vienna, with Pegg riding shotgun during the car ride to the red carpet. USA Today reported that the two must have shared a car because of the expensive gas rates that charge by the liter; but nevertheless, the bromance looked delightful.

Simon Pegg has previously worked with Cruise in the past two "Mission: Impossible" movies, which says a lot in terms of Hollywood friendships. Xpose reported the 45-year-old English actor reiterated that Cruise is different in person, saying he is far more human and vulnerable than what is seen on interviews or red carpets. He also said how Tom Cruise knows how to put up this persona, which means he can compartmentalize the Tom Cruise on screen and the actual Tom Cruise.
However, the bromance is nothing but a dust on Pegg's shoulders; after starring in it, The Independent reported that the actor-comedian is currently co-writing "Star Trek Beyond," the third installment in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, which is something well and beyond what he thought he would do during his stay in the industry. In an interview, he said that though it was very intimidating at first, but eventually everything is taking shape.
Simon Pegg is the last man one would think to be brought by someone like Tom Cruise on to the red carpet as his date. However, with the track record that Pegg has been having recently, getting on his good side can be a great career choice. Hopefully, in the upcoming "Mission: Impossible" installments, Pegg's Benji Dunn will still be there as an operative for Cruise's Ethan Hunt.
