The Moto 360 is a highly anticipated smartwatch scheduled to be released in 2014 and Motorola is still not ready to divulge details about it yet. Fortunately, Italian website Mister Gadget had an extensive hands-on experience with it, sharing some unofficial details about the device for now.

Mister Gadget leaked a gallery of Moto 360 photos including a first glimpse at the Moto 360 wireless charger. The leak unveils an unannounced feature which is a heart rate sensor similar to Samsung's Gear Live feature.

Lenovo purchased Motorola from Google earlier in 2014. The company is not scheduled to launch the Moto 360 until later in August supposedly because of its summer timeline release date but Mister Gadget expected a Sept. 1 release in its report.

Smartwatches are said to be the next big thing in the mobile industry and all big players are getting into the game. Samsung launched its first smartwatch in September of 2013 when it released the Galaxy Gear with the Galaxy Note 3 phablet. The wearable device ran an altered Android version and was only compatible with just a few Samsung smartphones. Galaxy Gear sales were very low and even had a high return rate because of its short battery life, barely making it through one day before it needed to be recharged.

Mister Gadget said that the Moto 360 has an improved battery life compared with the LG G Watch which usually lasted only a day of heavy use. Moto 360 is said to last over two days. The report cautioned though that the unit was not fully functional and it could have been the reason why the Moto 360 fared better on battery tests. The Moto 360 is water resistant and has not only the optical heart rate sensor but also a built-in pedometer. The device has wireless charging with a desktop dock.
