After being in a coma since January this year, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away at an Atlanta hospice care. She was 22.

The world was shocked when the legendary music icon Whitney Houston was found dead in her bathroom in 2012, and then, only three years after, her daughter Bobbi Kristina was discovered unresponsive inside a bathtub in her home.

Brown was in a comatose state for over five months and was transferred to a hospice care last month due to her deteriorating condition. Brown's aunt Pat Houston made the announcement public.

"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate. She has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now," she said in a report by ABC News.

Brown was discovered facedown inside a tub by a friend, and sources said her boyfriend rushed inside the room, tried to revive her with CPR, and called 911, E! News reported.

In July 15, several reports surfaced that Brown's longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon was slammed by a $10 million lawsuit by Brown's camp for allegedly causing her life-threatening condition.

"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months," said a statement from the Houston family as cited by E! News.

The 22-year-old is Houston's only child with singer Bobby Brown. Months after her mom's death, Brown was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey where she opened up about dealing with her mother's passing, "I can hear her voice and spirit talking to me and telling me, 'Keep moving, baby,'" Entertainment Weekly reported.

Brown joined her mom to perform on stage on several occasions. She has been working on building her own singing career before she died.
