The Sacramento Kings are looking for another former standout, Peja Stojakovic, to handle a spot in the team's front office, according to Bleacher Report.

Months after being hired by the Kings to become their vice president for basketball operations, former player Vlade Divac then asked the former three-time NBA All-Star to join him as an executive managing player personnel.

Reportedly, Stojakovic was already playing the role this offseason as he said to be assisted Divac with all the player transactions that Sacramento had been involved in, which makes the hiring anything but a formality for the Serbian sharpshooter. The role, however, may be expanded a little bit more than just advising Divac with regards to player movement.

"I asked him to join me, and in September, we'll probably know," Divac told reporter Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee.

Divac accepted Sacramento's offer on March this year and had transitioned from player to executive without much help from former Kings execs as the front office underwent a major overhaul as well.

Without Stojakovic, he would have been alone in the decision-making process during the summer, especially on draft night, as former GM Pete D'Alessandro moved to the Denver front office early last month. Deputy GM Mike Bratz assumed the position temporarily, but it was assumed that he would take over D'Alessandro's former position soon.

Peja jumped right in to help Divac and even accompanied the former Kings' center in Las Vegas to oversee the team during the Summer League.

The two-time 3-Point Shootout champion, who retired in 2011 after winning a title with the Dallas Mavericks, have yet to formally respond to the call. He is reportedly still in the process of consulting with his family as they may have to move back to the US after returning to their home country four years ago.

Sacramento had an eventful summer with the acquisitions of Rajon Rondo, Marco Belinelli, Kosta Koufos, Caron Butler, Quincy Acy, Seth Curry, and the selection of sixth overall pick Willie Cauley-Stein in last June's draft, as per CBS Sports. Divac is the man of the hour behind the scenes and hiring Stojakovic proved that even more so.
