The marriage of a mentally unstable couple has reached its gruesome end after police found the woman's decapitated body in the couple's apartment on Saturday morning in Phoenix, Arizona.
Police said Trina Heisch, 49, was found dead with her two small dogs inside a walk-in closet. The bodies were all mutilated. Bloodied knives were found inside the residence, but authorities are still unsure of the murder weapon.

The 43-year-old husband, whose name is yet to be revealed due to the ongoing investigation, is allegedly the main suspect.
In an interview with AZ Central, neighbor George Loney narrated that he knocked on the couple's house to check if everything was okay because the victim had not been seen in the Colter St. neighborhood for days.
The husband answered the door naked, with visible cuts on his chest, his right eye missing, and his left forearm chopped off. Police said his injuries may have been self-inflicted. He is now being treated in the hospital.
The alleged suspect repeatedly told Loney that he has killed three of his family members, but God had forgiven him and everything's okay. He even asked the witness for a drag of cigarette. It is unclear if the suspect was referring to the victim and her two dogs.
"The witness could see into the apartment, and saw that the walls and floors were covered in blood," Sgt. Trent Crump told ABC.
One of their neighbors, Heather Enderton, told police that she heard screams from the apartment on Saturday at about 6 am, and texted another neighbor. However, the occurrence was normal for the couple. Police said the two have a history of drug abuse and domestic violence.
Heisch was reportedly arrested in March this year for attempting to stab her husband. On the other hand, the alleged suspect was arrested back in 2003 for attempting to kill a family member. The two reportedly met in a mental facility and got married.
Heisch' daughter Christal said her mother was a religious person and loved her two dogs, Scrappy and Petal.
Other neighbors seem to agree, saying that the victim is an "easy-going person who was religious and tried to spread Christianity."
Although some recall the victim waving hello to children, Loney said that when the two fight, Heisch was the attacker most of the time.
