A shockingly thin Liam Neeson was spotted out and about New York City on Saturday, causing some concern for fans, according to NZHerald.
Neeson appeared nothing like one of the action heroes he has portrayed on the big screen. During his stroll, the 63-year-old actor appeared with whispy gray hair and was dressed down in sweatpants and a baseball cap, according to news.com.au.

Yahoo! News also reported that Liam Neeson's frail appearance made him unrecognizable since just weeks before, he was also spotted in New York visiting the Ronald McDonald House looking "healthy."
The Yahoo! News report, however, did point out that Liam Neeson's frail appearance could simply be because of a new film. The site could not confirm though whether that was exactly the reason. Neeson's last two films are reportedly in the post-production stage, according to IMDb.
"In his next film appearance, 'Silence,' directed by Martin Scorsese, Neeson is taking the lead role as Father Cristóvão Ferreira and he's also playing a monster in 'A Monster Calls,' both films have entered the post-production stages and are scheduled for release in 2016," Yahoo! News reported.
Since Gossip website Radar reported before that the "Taken" star has cleared his schedule, speculations that his frail appearance might be because he is sick were fuelled. However, the actor's spokesperson has clarified the issue, saying he is due to begin work for a new film in September after he is done with another project.
Liam Neeson's frail appearance is indeed shocking, but his rep further insisted that he is healthy and that there was no need for concern since he is not sick.
"He has just completed work on one film and starts another in September. [He's] never been healthier," said the rep.
In related news, Liam said that he would want to retire from acting soon, likely within the next two years, according to The Inquisitr.
"Maybe two more years . . . if God spares me, and I'm healthy," he said.
The actor spent his birthday last month.
In an interview with the Daily Mail's Sebastian Shakespeare recently, the actor said growing older was a "touchy subject."
"My birthday is a touchy subject. I'm going to be 63 . . . nobody wants to be 63. I'm getting old," he said. "What I want more than anything is for it to be ignored. I just hate it, and it makes me feel vulnerable. It's such a private thing, the day you were born, the day you came out of your mother's womb."
"Some people hire a boat and do grand things like that, but I just get embarrassed about that sort of celebration and attention," Neeson added.
Liam Neeson also recently became an American citizen. Despite his frail appearance, his mind is far from what he appears to be on the outside. He has been spending most of his time speaking about his views on antigun and antiviolence.
On Twitter, fans have expressed their concern for the popular actor, saying Liam Neeson's frail appearance has made him "unrecognizable."
