Many Cars Run Over a Old Man, the Last Calls the Police and Is Sentenced to Compensate for Nearyly 400,000 Yuan

Many cars ran over a man of more than 60 years old on a road of Longquanyi District of Chengdu City. The previous cars escaped, but the last care did not, and the driver called the Police. Because the hit-and-runs could not be found, the family of the dead took the last car's driver and the insurance company to court, asking them to pay the compensation.

"The driver's face was white, continuously saying he didn't hit the man," Mr. Li, a villager there, witnessed this bizarre accident.
Many cars ran over the same old man, but only the last driver stopped to call the Police.
The crashed old man had no children, but only his father of nearly 90 years old.
Later, the relative took the driver to court.
Recently, a reporter of West China Metropolis Daily learned form the court of Longquanyi District that the court made a ruling on the case.
The court held that the old man still had vital signs when being run over by the last car.
The court decided that the driver Peng should pay the dead man's family nearly 400,000 yuan, and 310,000 yuan of which should be borne by the insurance company. After other escaped cars are blocked, Peng shall have the recoursing right.
