(Photo : Reuters) Sony’s PlayStation Plus is about to release free games this August that will leave fans something to discover during the summer season.

The recent 2.55 update of the PlayStation 4 have users cramming for answers when their PS4's deliver some disc read issues.

According to Gearnuke, the problem arises when users try to insert a disc that eventually results to the main console not able to read the disc. While there is a solution like restarting the console to have the disc read, this proves to be a nuisance to owners of the PlayStation 4. Another issue that system updates altered on the PlayStation 4 is the three beeps it gives when the console is being turned off. The three beeps indicate that the console has crashed and was not properly shut down.

While the cause of the glitch is not clear, several users observed that the problem usually happens when the console was put in Rest Mode. It is advisable that the whole platform is shut down and restarted to make sure it will read the disc and avoid restarting it from Rest Mode where the glitch is usually encountered. Sony has not made any statements regarding the problem, and confirmation on how to fix the bug is still unavailable. The PlayStation 4 system update 2.55 is meant to stabilize system software during the employment of its features, until the glitch was encountered.

According to GameSpot, a new PlayStation system update will be coming soon and the 2.57 revisions and improvement is set to introduce alterations on the platform such as the suspend/resume functionality. In a post by VG247, the update has been received by PlayStation 4, but is nothing phenomenal that could significantly remove the glitches of the platform.

In a Twitter post made by PlayStation, it said, "PS4 system software update 2.57 coming soon, it's a minor update that improves stability of some features."  Users should not expect major changes in the system brought by the update as Sony confirms it is just a minor update. Their Twitter post has since been replied by many followers needing answers to their problems in PlayStation 4.
