New York Mets reliever Jenrry Mejia was slapped with a 162-game suspension by the Major League Baseball for PED use just three weeks after returning from an 80-game PED suspension.
In the second suspension, Mejia tested positive for Stanozolol and Boldenone, while his earlier suspension was just for Stanozolol, according to ESPN.

The MLB did not indicate whether the second positive test occurred before or after he returned from his first suspension.
The 25-year-old Mejia said last April after his first positive test that he had no idea how the PED entered his system.
Back then, team captain David Wright didn't care about Mejia's excuses as he sees the issue as black-and-white, Deadspin reported.
He noted that Mejia deserves to be punished for his mistakes.
Wright added that not only did Mejia cost himself 80 games and wouldn't get paid for that, he aslo husrt the team with the suspension.
But this time, Mejia will not bother to make an excuse, according to Mike Vorkunov of NJ.com
Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said he has mixed emotions--disappointment, anger, amazement, shock and sadness--that the second positive test could come so soon just after Mejia completed the first ban.
Alderson described the situation as a consequence of making bad choices.
He wasquoted by NJ.com sa sying that he does not want to make hasty pronouncements about Mejia's status with the Mets.
However, considering the total suspensions slapped on Mejia, the GM said that they would have to ponder whether they could make such a commitment.
Mets manager Terry Collins noted that Mejia's teammates were shaking their heads in the clubhouse upon learning of the punishment.
Fellow Mets reliever Bobby Parnell said that the team has to dodge the distraction, pick up, move forward and avoid dwelling on the incident.
Mejia has been subjected to six extra urine tests and three extra blood tests over 12 months after his first violation.
The Mets still have a relief corps composed of closer Jeurys Familia and Parnell and have acquired Tyler Clippard from the Oakland Athletics.
Alderson said they do not intend to seek another reliever before 4 p.m. ET Friday, the non-waiver trade deadline.
