After a divorce announcement last week, country singer Miranda Lambert admits things haven't been too easy after she and ex-husband Blake Shelton made their split public after being married for four years.

"I've been living off caffeine and sad songs lately. So, we're going to drink some caffeine and play a sad song," Lambert said during a performance at a club in Nashville, Tennessee, E! News reported.

Lambert shared the stage on a sit-down set-up with other country musicians including Natalie Hemby, Jessi Alexander, Jon Randall, Courtney Cole, Clare Dunn, and RaeLynn.

Among the songs the 31-year-old singer performed are her hit "Dear Diamonds" and "Virginia Blue Bell."

"She came out smiling but was very subdued. She was really nervous and even said so. A little later, she loosened up and started having a good time. You could tell she's got things on her mind," an eyewitness told the entertainment site.

A photo of Shelton's home, which he once shared with Lambert, circulated recently showing the female singer's stuff all boxed up and sitting at the porch.

Critics speculated Shelton wanted to rid himself of everything that had to do with his ex-wife, but an updated report by TMZ confirmed that the stuff are indeed Lambert's but these are belongings she does not need anymore and would like to give to charity.

A source told the entertainment site that Shelton had one of his staff go through her things and pack them.

Meanwhile, reports said the ex-couple went through great lengths to ensure the details of their divorce were kept far from the public eye. They allegedly drove some two hours to the next county where they filed their divorce using only their initials, Fox News reported.

In addition, the two made sure everything was kept confidential filing a petition for protective order that made sure the documents were kept sealed, the report added.
