According to rumors, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" will be Hideo Kojima's last project, but that has yet to be confirmed. Attack of the Fan Boy, on the other hand, may have revealed some issues between Kojima and Konami, saying the latter is disappointed by how Kojima spends too much time and money developing "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," even delaying the final release of the game for its final launch.
Song composer for "Metal Gear" Muranaka revealed that Kojima is a perfectionist and would not have settled to a second grade outcome. In fact, Muranaka said that Kojima even ask her to compose songs for "Metal Gear" to which 30 of them didn't make the cut yet, Kojima kept on asking her to compose until he gets the perfect one.
It is said that Kojima, as long as he develops "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," he also gets his salary for the project, and Konami disapproves the act. Speculations reveal how Konami is losing more money until such time the game is released and set to be launched.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is set to be launched on September 1 and will be available on Play Station 4, Xbox One, PS3, PC and Xbox 360 game platforms.
