A grueling four-day search for missing 6-year-old Jenise Paulette Wright ended in tragedy last Thursday in Seattle, Washington when police confirmed that they may have found the little girl's body.

A team from the FBI recovered her body in a nearby forested area with the help of cadaver dogs. They discovered the corpse at around 11:30 am on Thursday.

Kitsap County officials announced on Thursday that they've yet to make any arrests and have yet to pinpoint a suspect. Authorities have stated though, that they are "not ruling out anything."

Although an autopsy has yet to be done on Wright's body, authorities are quite sure that the body is that of the little girl's and don't believe her death to have been an accident.

The autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Wright's parents last saw their daughter when they put her to bed on Saturday night.

Because the girl had a tendency to go off on her own to wander around the Steele Creek Mobile Home Park where her family resided, her parents weren't worried when they didn't see her in bed the next morning.

Her parents shared that the little girl was vivacious and friendly, never scared of talking with anyone.

According to Frank Montoya, Jr., special agent in charge of the FBI's Seattle division, "It's tragic circumstances that bring us here."

Over 300 officers scoured the area and asked neighbors if they knew about the disappearance of the 6-year old.

Sex offenders who reside in the locality are currently being looked at and surveillance videos have been pulled from nearby establishments.

During the investigation, officials found out that Jenise Wright's father, James, was charged with molesting two young girls more than 10 years ago.

James Wright pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge, but the molestation charges were dropped.

At the time police discovered James Wright's record, they didn't feel it had anything to do with Jenise's disappearance.
