At a recent event held by Square Enix Japan, it announced some significant development in the "Dragon Quest" franchise, including the announcement of the new channel "Dragon Quest XI," whose logo was apparently leaked a day prior to its launching.

According to GearNuke, "Dragon Quest XI" will be available on Nintendo 3Ds, Play Station 4 and most probably, and surprising reveal yet, the NX gaming platform. Directed by Takeshi Uchikawa and Koichi Sugiyama, the "Dragon Quest XI" is set to have its own soundtrack composed by the two directors.

ToyLogic is responsible in the development of the game for its 3Ds version, while Ocra will assist in developing the game's compatibility to Unreal Engine 4 on PlayStation 4. Although seen to be in its developmental stage, developers are hoping to launch the game in 2016 as part of Dragon Questfranchise's first year anniversary.

Live stage demo of the game in its New 3Ds version can be viewed on YouTube. "Dragon Quest XI," according to Ryitaro Ichimura, will also open in Japan on PlayStation 4 and the 3Ds gaming platform. Siliconera said, during the weekly issue of Weekly Jump, certain fields and battle on's were shown to give fans an idea of the game patches and graphic artistry.

During the Dragon Quest presentation by Square Enix, users had an idea of what the game is made of, as well as the idea of its creation; however, the presentation gave little idea about its battle system that may leave fans cramming for information especially those who have been waiting for its launching.

In a feature shown from "Dragon Quest XI" 3Ds version, players are given the choice whether they want to play the game in 3D or 2D mode. The simultaneous mode of the game can only be used at the beginning of the game and still subjects its user to shift to 3D or 2D during the middle of the game. The feature will also allow the player to interchange 3D and 2D mode at any given level of the game, and not confine a player to a mode chosen during the whole process.
