iPod Touch 6th Gen was recently launched, sporting a look more or less similar to iPhone 6. Reviewers and users are united in their decision that the iPod Touch 6th Gen is the best iPod till date.

The recent launch of the iPod Touch 6th Gen was a huge surprise to the users, and the Apple fans alike, as the product was expected to launch in September; however, Apple surprised the iPod Touch fans with an unexpected July 22 launch, much to the chagrin of the leaksters.

Although it was expected to come with a fingerprint scanner, the Touch ID is missing from the device as Apple pulled it out of its design at the last moment. It also implies that the users will not be able to use the Apple Pay support also through iPod Touch 6th generation, states Gospel Herald.

The body is made up of aluminum, similar to other Apple devices. The camera of the device is not as good as iPhone 6 though as it totally lacks the stabilization of the images captured.

Apple recently showed the iFixit version for this device as well. Through iFixit, the devices can be gutted down to their bare minimums, which could be used to understand the device in a better manner. It also helps to know an easier work around to fix the devices in case they ever go through a break down, according to Master Herald.

Through iFixit, the screen of the device can be removed after applying some heat. Once the screen is removed, the case consists of a 3.99 Wh unit, power unit of 1043 mAh, a 3.83v batter, among other things. The speaker assembly will also come out once the screen is removed from the device.

At the end of the tear down from iFixit, iPod Touch 6th generation was able to score only a 4 out of 10 for its repair ability. iFixit is known to destroy the image and legacy of any device through its break down mechanism, rendering the device to its absolute basics for the whole world to see.
