Hong Kong actor Kevin Cheng, along with the other cast members, started filming for the upcoming movie, 'My Poor Rich Father,' yesterday, continuing his long day of work after filming for his drama.

On August 7, Kevin Cheng arrived on the set of the movie. Reportedly, the star came from filming his TVB drama entitled 'Eye in the Sky,' but it didn't seem to deter the actor from performing well on the film set.

Kevin Cheng is filming the movie alongside Taiwan's famous child actor Benny , Hong Kong actress Annie Liu and also Li Chengyuan. The new film is said to be the actor's first big-screen project since his last movie in 2007, 'Super Fans,' a comedy film that was created by Eric Kot and also starred actress Charlene Choi and actor Leo Ku.

Based on reports, the actor, along with his co-stars Benny and Li Chengyuan, were seen filming an action cut near a parking lot at Kowloon Bay the other day.

The scene was supposedly that of Kevin Cheng's character getting into an altercation with two other men while he attempts to protect his son. Kevin Cheng's appearance in the movie - sporting a simple gray sweatshirt, jeans and an unshaven face - reminded the public of his previous role in his 2011 legal drama 'Ghetto Justice' which also boosted the actor's career, making him win his second Best Actor award.

The story of the movie revolves around a man who was struggling to cope with his wife's death, to be played by Kevin Cheng. In the movie, his character depicts that of a wealthy businessman who becomes workaholic and in turn neglects his son.

Taiwanese child actor Benny will be playing the part of Kevin Cheng's son in the film while Annie Liu will be translating the character of the actor's deceased wife.

On the other hand, Li Chengyuan will be playing the second female lead in 'My Poor Rich Father'.

The movie cast and crew are planning to film on different spots in Hong Kong as well as in China.
