There are a number of rumors circulating about the iPad Air 3 release date. Earlier, it was widely speculated to release in the latter part of the year.

However, recent reports put the October launch in doubt as Apple is reportedly focusing more on iPad Mini 4 and iPad Pro.

A sketchy report is making the rounds of Internet stating that there will be no iPad Air in 2015, and also that the upcoming iPad Mini model is going to be the last one which Apple will produce.

In November 2014, it was unveiled that iPad Pro will be 12.9-inches long and will soon be released. After this announcement, many tech gurus assumed that there will new devices for iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 as well, according to Geek Snack.

However, this report is stating that there will be no iPad Air anytime soon. It is reported that Apple is trying to concentrate all its energy into making iPad Pro a more optimized and user friendly device.

The report goes on to say that the upcoming model of iPad Mini might be the last one, which Apple is going to produce. The reason behind this is that Apple wants to focus on the larger iPad under its hood in the future. iPad Mini and iPad Mini 2 are not doing that great in the market and a lot of users are disappointed, even after the operating systems of these devices were upgraded, along with the addition of Force Touch ID technology. The upcoming iPad Mini 4 is rumored to sport a design similar to iPad Air 2, along with many added features, according to Apple Advice.

It was earlier expected that iPad Air 3 will be released within this year with minimal updates, like increased RAM, new processor and an improved camera. But since Apple is neither confirming nor denying this rumor, it is just a waiting game for now.
