"New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel is now a mom. Not only that, the quirky star also revealed she married partner Jacob Pechenik back in June.

According to Entertainment Online, representative of Zooey Deschanel confirmed that the actress gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The "500 Days of Summer" star also revealed that she and partner Jacob Pechenick married in a secret ceremony.

The birth of their daughter and secret wedding served as an achievement for the couple who has maintained a very private personal life from their engagement on the road to being parents.

"I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik, are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl," said the Deschanel's representative reported by Huffington Post.

Zooey and Jacob made an announcement in January that they were expecting a baby.

"Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one," she said upon announcing her pregnancy.

During the interview, she also revealed how she managed to hide her pregnancy from her "New Girl" co-stars. The 35-year-old said that being able to wear comfortable clothes on the set really helped as perfect cover up.

"I'm the only one who wears it in the episode. It was really comfortable, and I was pregnant at the time, but I couldn't tell anybody, so I was happy to be wearing comfortable clothes," the comedian said.

Daily Mail stated in an article that Zooey and Jacob started dating in the middle of 2014. She then confessed in January the following year that she is pregnant and a week later admitted that she is engaged. Jacob reportedly popped the question during her birthday on Jan. 17.

The couple is currently working together on a project film with a title "Rock the Kabash." Zooey will star in the film whereas Jacob is the producer. Other casts include Kate Hudson, Bill Murray, and Bruce Willis.

Zooey was previously married to Deathcab for Cutie lead vocalist Ben Gibbard. They got hitched in Sept. 2009 and filed a divorce two years later citing irreconcilable differences as the ground for their separation.
