(Photo : Reuters) Actor Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith arrive at the 86th Academy Awards in Hollywood, California March 2, 2014.
Will Smith's Facebook response Monday with regard to his alleged divorce to wife of 17 years, Jada Pinkett Smith, finally debunks what most news websites have been clamouring about.
"Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too!' So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are...NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -)," said the 46-year-old actor.

"I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself! #Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's," Will Smith's Facebook post concluded.
It appears Smith also couldn't help himself when it comes to inventing a new hashtag for the situation.
"#Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's," he said.
The latest Will and Jada divorce rumors began last week after the National Enquirer and Radar consecutively released reports that the 17-year couple were ending their allegedly "rocky" union with a secret $240 million divorce deal. Their sources are reportedly anonymous "insiders," providing little to no proof at all about the alleged separation.
This story about their separation that Will Smith's Facebook post has responded to is of course the same one the public has heard for the past several years.
Recently, Gossip Cop has published an exclusive report of the latest Will and Jada divorce "news" stating that it isn't really news at all. The site claimed that the divorce rumors are the same "made up" stories that has followed the celebrity couple for the past couple of years, according to The Inquisitr.
Shorty following Will Smith's Facebook response to the rumors, Pinkett Smith also took to social media to address the reports.
"My king has spoken," she tweeted.
The pair are proud parents to Willow, 14, and Jaden, 17. While they appear happy and in love, it is surprising especially for fans that the Will and Jada divorce rumors just took off for some reason.
In an interview with American Airways magazine, which Jada posted a link of on Facebook on July 31, the mother of two said the rumors comes with the territory in an age where the public has such an appetite for celeb dirt. Apart from the Will and Jada divorce rumors, for years there have been word on the grapevine about their alleged affairs with their co-stars and even Scientology connections, according to USA Today.
"Every year there's a new one, and I'm like, 'Here we go. Get ready. Are ya holdin' on tight?'," Jada said in the interview.
"Marriages go through shifts," she told the magazine. "And relationships go through shifts because in life, things shift. So people are automatically like, 'What's going on? They must be getting a divorce.' Well, no. But when people feel those shifts and there's a mystery, they have to fill it with something."
The couple has been said to have an "open relationship," but their reps have debunked these stories as well.
True or not, Will Smith's Facebook post about the couple's divorce is certainly gaining popularity, with 6,932 shares and 5,075 comments, and counting, reported The Inquisitr.
