Speculations have recently prompted consumers to think that Surface Phone may eventually replace Lumia, after the new Microsoft Windows 10 was launched.

According to The Latino Post, Windows Central has made the assurance that their operating system is almost complete and ready to be tried on. Microsoft's Joe Belifiore said that their phone is essentially complete, but they are not stopping until they have achieved the specifications they have envisioned for the phone. The unit is all set, and that software features will transpire during the end part of the product development. He also added that "at least one and two premium Windows 10 Mobile smartphones released in 2015."

Terry Myerson, devices head of Microsoft Windows, indicated that they might offer a handset from the Surface brand, but stressed out that their development of smartphones is only to the premium side. Their aim is to create a flagship unit that embodies the device family. The new device for Windows has somehow downplayed issues surrounding the Lumia. The Lumia series is set to launch the next one tagged as the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940XL, but with speculations of Surface Phone replacing the Lumia, the Windows flagship phone unit is in dire need of a boost in order to eventually see its launching day. The Lumia series has also been dubbed as the "iPhone Slayer" and is expected to be the most anticipated mobile release this year.

In a statement given by Joe Bilfiore featured on Windows Central, he said "The phone is significantly feature complete, but we'll continue to polish and tweak and iterate things that still need to work."

In another post by Windows Central, Microsoft has still been working on their flagship units mainly, Talkman (Lumia 950), Saana (Lumia 850), Saimaa (Lumia 650), Cityman (Lumia950 XL) and another unnamed Microsoft - Intel project, possibly the Surface Phones. Saana is known to be the successor of Lumia 830 and rumors of its cancellation has been ceased by the released of Planned Lumia Windows Phones that included the Saana itself.
