Indio, Robert Downey Jr.'s Son, Charged with Drug Possession and Drug Paraphernalia, Daddy and Family are very Supportive

Indio, the 20-year-old son of Robert Downey Jr., was arrested last June and now it has been reported that he is charged with felony possession of drugs.
Indio was seen as a passenger of a car somewhere in West Hollywood wherein he and his friends were seen smoking something from a pipe. It was reported that he had cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia with him. Indio was pulled over by a Sheriff's deputy and it was apparent what they were doing was illegal. As a first-time offender, sources said that Indio will be undergoing a drug diversion program.

Indio was arrested but they have posted a US$10,000 bail so he was released around 12:30 AM last Monday. Downey Jr. was said to have thanked the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department regarding his son's arrest which he referred to as an "intervention".
Downey Jr. also did undergo through a struggle with drug addiction. Back in the 90s, Robert was also in and out of both rehab and jail. Downey Jr. has been drug free back in 2003.
Downey Jr. was interviewed by US Weekly and he talked about his son's troubles in a statement after the said incident. He says that there is a genetic component regarding addiction which Indio has inherited.
He told them that his family has a lot of support as well as understanding for his son, Indio. He adds that he and his family are doing all that they can in order to help Indio become the man he is very capable of being. He ends saying that he believes his son will be another recovery success instead of just a cautionary tale.
Indio was Downey Jr.'s son with his ex-wife Deborah Falconer. Indio is said to be arraigned on the 29th of August at the Los Angeles Superior Court Airport House.
