Since the announcement made Monday regarding Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani's divorce, several rumors have circulated as to the reason behind the split of the powerful couple. Now, new reports are saying that the Bush frontman's cheating issues and former gay lover could be the reason for the shocking divorce.

It appears Gwen Stefani's suspicions that Gavin allegedly cheated are true.
According to The Inquisitr, while Gwen Stefani has not yet opened up publicly about her filing for her divorce with Gavin, rumors claim that the 45-year-old "The Voice" judge believes Gavin has been cheating with the family nanny.
The Inquisitr also reported that in 2010, Courtney Love told Howard Stern about her having slept with Gavin while the two were supposedly still happily married. There were also rumors going on for years that Gavin had already cheated on Gwen even before they had gotten married.
Another possible reason for the split is Gavin's past with former gay lover Marilyn, who is a cross-dressing pop singer. Radar Online recently revealed that Rossdale has reached out to Marilyn weeks before his divorce with Gwen.
"I spoke to him a couple weeks ago," Marilyn, originally named Peter Robinson, told Radar exclusively. "He called me."
Marilyn said that during Rossdale's phone call, the 49-year-old musician made an emotional outburst that lasted for an hour. Gavin reportedly said Marilyn was the reason why his marriage to Gwen broke down.
Gavin ranted about "the way everything is my fault," said Marilyn. The conversation, said Marilyn, quickly became heated.
"Because I did an interview [about the affair] ... and everything from then on is all my fault," he added. "And I'm listening to all this. He said 'You're getting all worked up,' and I said 'Out of two of us, who's the one screaming?' He went on and on."
"He did calm down and caught himself," added Marilyn.
Marilyn said Gavin's double life tore apart his marriage with Gwen.
"Gwen wants him to be something he's not, and he wants to be something he's not," said Marilyn. "That's my interpretation. I'm very sad for all parties involved, mostly the children."
Gavin Rossdale has admitted to his 1980s affair with Marilyn, however, he denied their rumored relationship in 2009.
On Monday, Gwen Stefani filed for divorce in Los Angeles. According to sources, the split was due to infidelity and pressures of not having time to be together. Other anonymous sources have also said that hints were already apparent prior to the power couple's divorce.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Gavin reportedly hinted at trouble in their marriage saying that Gwen's success "keeps you in check at the house."
"You might come in with two of something, and she's got 12 of something. You can never get over-excited, there's something about that," he said.
Also, last Thursday, July 30, there were personal belongings spotted outside Rossdale and Stefani's Los Angeles home.
