Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos warned FARC rebels that ceasefire talks could stop if civilian attacks continue.
The president was sworn in for his second term on Thursday and promises to put an end to the five decade war that has been plaguing the nation.
However, Santos said that peace talks will stop if the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) will continue killing civilians.

"Gentlemen of the FARC: you have been warned!" Santos said to about 2,000 people who were gathered during his inauguration.
The country's conflict with the Marxist rebels resulted in the death of more than 200,000 people and created catastrophic destruction in Colombia.
The second presidential term of Santos is a testament of Colombians' desire to finally end the conflict, according to Reuters.
However, even with Santos' platform for peace and equality in the country, FARC is showing no signs of submission.
Santos said in his inaugural speech that Colombians want peace. He asked the rebel group to end its violence against women and children.
"I will employ all my energy to bring peace during this mandate," the president said.
The President also aims to build Colombia's economy and to enhance the country's education and medical system.
"Imagine for a minute, a country in total peace, with equality and with the highest level of education in the region," Santos told the crowd that included foreign delegations from different countries.
Santos was re-elected in June with the help of reformist groups who also want to end the clash in the country.
The leftist groups allied with Santos to defeat the opposing presidential candidate who does not believe in peace talks.
Former Colombian president Alvaro Uribe, who is now a senator, is also a non-believer of the peace talks with the FARC.
Uribe believes that negotiating with the rebel groups will be in vain and instead pushes to defeat the group through combat.
The former president and his party list mates did not attend Santos' oath taking ceremony and is expected to obstruct any peace-related legislation that Santos' party will propose, according to BBC News.
