The 2015 Major League Soccer regular season rolls along with a Western Conference matchup between the Houston Dynamo (7-8-7) and the San Jose Earthquakes (7-9-5) at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston on Saturday.
These two teams are fighting for a playoff spot in the West as they are both running out of games to score points and move up into the standings. The Dynamo is currently at no. 8 in the West and immediately followed by the Earthquakes at the no. 9 spot. Both are also coming off with ties in their most recent matchups.

The Orange Crush managed to pull off a 1-1 draw against Sporting Kansas City last Saturday, as per Sporting KC's official website. Houston's defense held on after playing a man down starting the 86th-minute mark from a foul by defending midfielder Nathan Sturgis on Sporting wing back Roger Espinoza, which sent him off with a direct red card.
Meanwhile, the Goonies also held on for a goalless draw at their home field versus the Portland Timbers in their match on Sunday, via SkySports.
This is the third meeting between these two clubs this season with the series tied at 1-1 as both teams won on the road, according to the MLS official website.
Prediction: A 1-0 win by Houston. This is tough to call as both teams are virtually equal in strength. However, the Quakes had been on a funk lately, losing five straight games before their draw against Portland. The Dynamo pulled off a 3-0 victory over the LA Galaxy prior to their tie with Sporting, which gives them momentum and the upper hand in this game.
Houston Dynamo starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Deric; Beasley, Rodríguez, Horst, Williams; Sturgis, Clark; Barnes, Davis, Alex; Bruin
San Jose Earthquakes starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Bingham; Francis, Stewart, Bernárdez, Wynne; Garcia, Alashe, Wondolowski; Salinas, Amarikwa, Cato
