The website adds that although the plans were already made, there is still the burning question from gaming fans as to when will the game be release to the public. It was revealed in a Sony Advertisement that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake was placed in a 2016 release date, while a previous report claimed that the game could launch on 2017 as it marks the 20th Anniversary of the game title as a sure bet.
Square Enix has not made any statements or comments regarding these theories and some of them were dismissed.
Twinifinite reports that Nomura and Square Enix had already discussed way back before the end of 2014 and went on to hot and cold phases at the time. Nomura further adds that he has high expectations for the remake and they are going to do their best to keep that promise to gaming fans across the globe.
Nomura also noted that he will likely help from Square Enix heads Yoshinori Kitase and Kazushige Nojima from developing the project since the gravity of the game is huge and will start production right away.
In other news, Gamerant reports that Square Enix will likely not use their new Luminous Engine as this pieceof information was confirmed from "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata. The Luminous Engine was used in "FFXV" game development and Square Enix has been invested heavily on the game engine.
Tabata clearly said in an interview with Nova Crystallis that Luminous Engine will not be use in the "Final Fantasy 7" remake as it was never planned out to do with that kind of technology, VG 24/7 reports.
"Final Fantasy XV" is the only game that has access to the Luminous Engine, while Square Enix's other upcoming title "Kingdom Hearts 3" has using the Unreal Engine 4 in its development.
So far, there are no announcement as to what game engine will Square Enix use in "Final Fantasy 7" remake and gaming fans are eager to find from Square Enix soon.
"Final Fantasy 7" remake will be available for the PS4 console and it is rumored to be release also on Xbox One and PC platform as well.
