According to the actor, his prefers his future wife to be someone with a kind heart and independent mind. More than anything, he wants her to be devoted to the family and understanding of the nature of his work. When asked about how he hopes to meet his life partner, Peng would want to establish a relationship based on friendship instead of going after one girl to the next.
Despite being an eligible bachelor and having the kind of confidence that his profession has helped him develop, Peng had his share of being sheepish around girls. The singer-actor described himself as a "fat kid" who lacked courage to confess his feelings for someone he liked. The shy young Peng ended up becoming a wingman for his friend.
"I didn't know anything at the time. I felt that keeping my friends was more important," Peng shared.
Now 33 years old, Peng has grown more sure about how he wants his life to pan out. Despite originally planning to get married at the age of 30, being blessed with numerous projects made him come to terms with settling down at 35 instead. Being linked countless times with Chinese model-actress Dada Chan, he also learned to offer clarification only when the issues are already affecting his career.
Case in point was the recent allegation that he purchased an "elite apartment" worth NT $400 billion (approximately US $12.64 million). Peng reportedly just smiled and stated that the news is "not trustworthy."
However, when it comes to his family, there is no stopping Peng from going out of his way to protect them. As if to issue a warning, the actor vowed to take legal action against anyone who pokes into the affairs of his family. For him, he does not need to share his private life nor participate in controversy for the sake of publicity.
