Author George R.R Martin who has a loyal fan following amongst book lovers is all set to release the follow up version of "A Song of Ice and Fire," in all likelihood before the previously announced release date. The new book is being called "The Winds of Winter" and is expected to break all records of its predecessor, in terms of sale.

According to Christian Today, a recent blog post by renowned author George R.R Martin said that there are possibilities of his new book "Winds of Winter" to be released before hand. Fans are extremely excited and have been ardent followers of the series. "A Song of Ice and Fire," the previous book in this series, was a roaring hit, and ever since, fans across the globe have been awaiting the next installment. Martin's blog post says that while he will be travelling, his team will be busy working on the new edition.

Martin's books are also the backbone of HBO's super successful television series called "Game of Thrones." Recently, the fifth season of this serial has concluded, while fans of the books and the TV series have been following the author to know when he would be writing the next part.

Meanwhile, Martin had said that he would concentrate on finishing the next edition of the book by next year. He also added that he was working hard to finish the book on time. Martin had been declining several interview requests and other public engagements as well, simply to ensure that the book was out on time and the plot met the expectations of his readers.

Usually, Martin also scripts one episode per series but since the last two seasons he has been avoiding this ritual to focus on the other works at hand. Another report on Vine Report quoted one of Martin's interview with Entertainment Weekly and said that the new book would have an unexpected twist that is sure to surprise the fans. As of now, there is no official confirmation on the release date of the book being preponed.
