General Motors has said that the new Chevrolet Camaro model will be available for pre-order starting this month; however, the new model will only be available starting 2016. The said Camaro model will feature a fully electric system, convertible top and lots of other interesting trademark.

According to Yibada, General Motors has decided to break the trend wherein car makers usually introduce upgrades to the old models maintaining the same old internal features. The new Camaro model being introduced early next year is completely different and far more superior. Giving details on the new model, makers said that it would be lighter, sleeker and more stunning in its external appearance. Previously, the parts were made of steel; however, these parts are now replaced with aluminium counterparts, which are lighter and serve the purpose without compromising on quality.

A high point of the many interesting features that the new Chevy possess includes a fully convertible electrical top that works even when the car is moving at 30 meters per hour. The new Camaro has been built on the ATS platform taken from the Cadillac. The foldable cover can be operated at the push of a button. When it disappears, the cover goes away beautifully to reveal the well-sculpted body of the automobile.

The makers have gone the extra mile to guarantee the comfort of the driver. The new Chevy comes with kneepads that makes it easy for the driver to go long distances. Steering wheel has a flat bottom design. The new model includes a Driver mode selection feature. This gives the driver the luxury and convenience to tailor made his or her ride. The technology is designed to anticipate the situation of the road and accordingly modify the driver mode. Even the seats are extremely comfortable.

The very first Camaro model was introduced way back in 1967. Currently, this is one of the oldest selling flagship brands. Another report on Automobile confirms that the new model has a series of interesting features that makes it a strong competitors for the other brands in its category.

The pre-ordering for the new model will start from August 13.
