Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesman Shen Danyang responds to the change in investment between China and Japan. The different is caused by both market and policy. On one hand, Chinese policy of welcoming foreign investment in China doesn't change. This has a positive effect on attracting international investors, including Japanese investors. On the other hand, there exist barriers for Chinese enterprises to investigate in some developed countries, such as Japan.
Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesman Shen Danyang points out that there are several influencing factors on investment between Japan and China.
Firstly, market factor affect the investment. Currently, China's investment environment is further improved, and there is no change in the policy of absorbing foreign capital. When many multinational companies talk about the China's investment environment in the future, they are optimistic about China's investment environment and the prospects for China's economic development. As for Chinese investment in Japan, by now, Chinese enterprises have invested in more than 200 countries all over the world. These companies have many choices. So whether the Chinese companies want to invest in Japan depends on the economic situation and investment environment of Japan. This is a market-determined process.
Secondly, policy is also an important factor. China always welcomes international investors to invest in China liberally. However, Japan's economic performance and its investment environment disappointed Chinese investors who are swarming for overseas investment. Chinese investors complained about barriers in developed economies, including Japan. This causes the decline of investment in Japan.
