Just a few months after the release of the Pebble Time smartwatch, makers are already ready to bring out the new and updated version called the Pebble Time Steel. The Time Steel is a more fancy and stylish model as compared to its predecessor the Pebble Time. The new model is open for pre-order and the company has confirmed it will be shipping it in the next six to eight weeks.

According to The Verge, smartwatch maker Pebble is all set to come out with its new model, the Pebble Time Steel. With same design as well as functionality, the Pebble Time Steel is simply a more fancy model for the wearable technology connoisseur. The only difference is that this model is made completely of steel which makes it more durable as well as stylish as compared to the predecessor. Additionally, this fancy model comes with a better display and an improved battery performance. As for the price of the Pebble Time Steel, the model with a leather strap is going to be priced at 249 dollars while the one with a steel strap will go as high as 299 dollars. The steel construction also makes it more heavier as compared to the previous plastic model.

Though the screen is the same 64-inches LCD display, the glare is lesser making it easy for the end user to view better. Even the air gap that was there in the previous model is no longer seen in the steel made. Software interface is the same in both the devices. Over the last few months, Pebble has been updating its software interfaces fixing bugs constantly. The latest model allows users to control the intensity of the vibration alert, the brightness and the duration of the backlight.

Another report on Vine Report says that the premium model of the smartwatch comes with single core 100MHz Cortex M4 CPU. The functionality of the smartwatch is compatible to the Android Icecream Sandwich. The display is made out of colour e paper technology for a better viewing experience.
