(Photo : Reuters) Gamers across the globe who were eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Witcher series are seemingly disappointed as the makers confirmed there is no new game coming up any time soon.
"Halo 5" is a popular game series that enjoys a huge fan following across the globe; however, all the previous editions of the game hold the record of being slapped with warnings of carrying mature content. But, the new version "Halo 5 Guardians" has emerged as the only exception to this trend. For the first time ever, the game has managed to get a teen rating from the American game classification authority.

According to Polygon, it is for the first time in the history of the core game series "Halo 5" that the new game has received a T for Teen rating by ESRB, American authority that supervises the content of video games. Usually, the series has been accused of providing mature content not fit for teens. There have also been other versions of the game that have been given a more family friendly classification. The three words that ESRB has used in its rating of the game are Blood, Mild Language and Violence, yet the game has happily passed the test with a teen rating.
The detailed review describes the game as a first person shooter game with the player assuming the role of a super soldier whose responsibility is to locate missing characters. In the process, the protagonist is allowed to use violence as a means to achieve the goal. Occasional abuses and insults are also a part of the plot. Inspite of this, the game has managed a teen rating. Analysts are quite surprised that the game has received a teen rating, especially because it has the same gory assassination plot as what was present in some of the previous editions.
The last edition of the "Halo 5" game got a 16 + rating from PEGI. 343 Industries is the developer of the game while Microsoft Studios is the publisher. So far, there has been no intimation from either of the two regarding the response to the rating. Therefore, it remains a mystery as to whether or not, the game providers have toned down the elements of violence.
