Reunited and it feels so bad.

The girl band Danity Kane has once again broken up - and this time, it might actually be for good.

According to group member Aubrey O'Day, the split was prompted when one of the other members punched her at the back of her head.

On the group's official site, O'Day and fellow member, Shannon Bex, narrated why the group decided to disband again.

O'Day, whose sexuality and sexual orientation has been thoroughly discussed in the media, wrote that the punching incident occurred during a group meeting. She shared that she was talking to another member when suddenly she was punched at the back of the head by another member. O'Day denied that there was any exchange of threats or any previous altercation before she was assaulted.

Dawn Richard is being pinpointed as the one who attacked O'Day.

The singer shared that she was extremely hurt and disappointed that she was attacked by "someone I considered family".

In a separate post, Bex wrote that she didn't witness a physical fight before the punch was thrown.

O'Day and Bex collaborated on a third letter, where the two shared their sadness that Danity Kane has broken up again. The two apologized to their fans, saying that they share their anger and frustration.

"We spent a year living on each other's couches, sacrificing any solo opportunity that came our way," they penned.

Obviously heartbroken, the two said that they've invested a lot of time and effort into the reunion and were about to cross "the finish line" when things ended the way they did.

The two ended their letter apologizing to their fans again, reiterating that they appreciated their support and encouragement for the last 12 months.

In her defense, Richard explained that the reason why she punched O'Day was because she and Bex were spreading "exaggerated lies and false accusations". Things blew up when Richard found out that the two were recording without her.

She said that the story got released to the public before she was consulted. Richard then took to Twitter to apologize to her fans.

Danity Kane was formed during the third season of MTV's "Making the Band" in 2005 by rapper and producer P. Diddy.
