OnePlus 2 has recently been revamped from its predecessor, the OnePlus One, and the hype that has been swirling around the smartphone has been intensified by the fact that consumers can only get a hand on the OnePlus 2 units through invites.

According to Vine Report, consumers were disappointed when they were informed that the OnePlus 2 gadget is only available to those who have received invites; however, OnePlus recently made some offer to its consumers saying that they can have the opportunity to own the elusive gadget for free without any prompting from invites, if they join the OnePlus contest that was recently launched.

The contest requires participants to select from the challenges listed by OnePlus and perform the chosen challenge, upload it on YouTube and wait for the winner's announcement. The contest entitled "What Would You Do For The 2" challenges its fans on how far they would go to have a hand on the new One Plus 2 gadget. The challenges include "Showcasing your love for OnePlus in your Social Media site," "Pimping your Ride," Contribute to a local community with your tech power, "Perform Something Awesome," "Project the OnePlus Logo in a busy area in your city," "Sing a song on why you love OnePlus and Sing it in Public," "Create an App for OnePlus fans and share with the community" and "Organize a flashmob of 50 people." You can also see the complete list of challenges on this post.

According to Android Headlines, this is not the first time the killer flagship turned to contests and campaigns in order to promote their brand, as well as give its consumers the opportunity to win invites and the OnePlus phone itself.

In 2014, the OnePlus brand held  campaigns that include filming while destroying their current phones and post it online, and the ever popular "Ladies Only," wherein females were challenged to pose with the OnePlus logo, have a picture with it and post it online to win an invite or the phone itself.
