With preseason underway and the regular season looming, one wonders whether the Dallas Cowboys, who surprised experts last season with a 12-4 record, can capitalize on their momentum going forward. With the loss of DeMarco Murray and with Greg Hardy out for 4 games due to suspension, there are several questions left to be answered when it comes to how the Cowboys will fare. But there is reason to remaining optimistic in Dallas, with an easy schedule and their best players, Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, returning.

Week 1: New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys: WIN (1-0)

For quite a while now, the Dallas Cowboys have defeated the New York Giants at every turn. Winning the last 4 games against the Giants, the Cowboys must be excited for this opening match up. The Giants struggled last season, achieving a 6-10 record, while the Cowboys surprised everybody with their stellar play. The Giants struggles, coupled with the offensive line issues, should make this a winnable game for the Cowboys.

Week 2: Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles: LOSS (1-1)

The Cowboys get the opportunity to face 2 division rivals at the start of their season. Truthfully however, the NFC East will come down to the Cowboys and the Eagles. Last season the Cowboys and the Eagles each loss their home game and won against the other on the road. DeMarco Murray, former Cowboy-now-Eagle and last season's leading rusher, makes this matchup even more interesting for the Cowboys. The Cowboys have a fair chance of winning this game in the end, but it's also likely that the Eagles win at home.

Week 3: Atlanta Falcons @ Dallas Cowboys: WIN (2-1)

Most people won't know what to expect against the Falcons, who have undergone drastic changes during the offseason, primarily with their coaching change. One thing is for sure, however: This game is going to be high scoring and closer than most will expect. Don't expect the Falcons to do well on defense so early into the season, and expect the Cowboys to show up at home.

Week 4: Dallas Cowboys @ New Orleans Saints: WIN (3-1)

With the Saints coming off an underwhelming season in which they struggled both at home and on the road, it's clear to see that the Cowboys are the superior team. Still, the Saints' Superdome is their fortress and it'll be an uphill battle for the Cowboys if they want to take the win in New Orleans. The Cowboys talent can take them to a win in this one.

Week 5: New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys: WIN (4-1)

This game comes down to one important thing: Whether or not Tom Brady will have his suspension repealed. If his suspension is not repealed, the Cowboys can expect to face Jimmy Garoppolo, which would be a much easier battle for the Cowboys to face. The Patriots are still one of the best coached teams in the league, and this game is going to be a tough one.

Week 7: Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants: LOSS (4-2)

Winning their last 3 games at the MetLife Stadium, the Cowboys must really like their chances in this one, especially with the rest their players are going to get with their week 6 bye. However, this game is not going to be an easy one for the Cowboys. Last season the Cowboys made it through with an intense 31-28 win. This game could go either way.

Week 8: Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys: LOSS (4-3)

Last season the Cowboys shocked the Seahawks with a 30-22 win in Seattle. This season, the 2013 superbowl champions will come prepared for war with the Cowboys. While the Cowboys have won their last 3 against the Seahawks, there's no telling if the Cowboys can get this win. This will be one of the Cowboys more tougher games this season.

Week 9: Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys: WIN (5-3)

Halfway through the season the Cowboys have already faced quite a handful of tough teams. For the Cowboys, this is a must-win game against one of their toughest division rivals. Expect the Cowboys to win this one against Murray and the Eagles.

Week 10: Dallas Cowboys @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers: WIN (6-3)

One of the worst teams in the entire league, the Buccaneers should be easy pickings for the Cowboys. While the Buccaneers have become marginally better in the offseason, they are in no way close to the ability the Cowboys have. On paper, this will be the Cowboy's easiest game as the Buccaneers are clearly still in rebuilding mode.

Week 11: Dallas Cowboys @ Miami Dolphins: LOSS (6-4)

This will be an incredibly tough game for the Cowboys to win on the road. The Dolphin's Ndamukong Suh gave the Cowboys trouble in the wild-card round last year when he played with the Detroit Lions. The Dolphins defense will be a tough one for the Cowboys to face, and it'll be hard to get a win out of this one.

Week 12: Carolina Panthers @ Dallas Cowboys: WIN (7-4)

New Cowboys aquisition Greg Hardy returns to face his hometeam the Panthers in this Thanksgiving meeting. While Cam Newton may give the Cowboys' defense some trouble, on paper the Cowboys are the better team and they stand a better chance of winning this game.

Week 13: Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins: WIN (8-4)

For some odd reason, the Cowboys always seem to have trouble with the Washington Redskins. Regardless of the fact that the Cowboys are a contender and the Redskins are not a good team by any stretch of the imagination, the Redskins seem to have had the Cowboy's number for the past couble seasons. Smart money is always going to be on the Cowboys, and it won't be a surprise if they get the win in week 13.

Week 14: Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers: LOSS (8-5)

A rematch of last year's playoffs, this will be the game that Cowboys fans will be watching. Hoping to receive some justice for the unfair ruling on the catch last season, many hope that the Cowboys can win this game. However, this game is going to be played on the road and it's hard to bet against Aaron Rodgers when he is playing in Lambeau.

Week 15: New York Jets @ Dallas Cowboys: WIN (9-5)

The last couple games look incredibly favorable for the Cowboys. The New York are not a great team by any stretch, only winning 4 of their games last season. This should be an easy one for the Cowboys.

Week 16: Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills: WIN (10-5)

Having to play in Buffalo in the middle of December is never going to be any fun. Still, the Cowboys have proven that they can beat the best of them. Whether there is snow or not, the Cowboys should be able to get this one.

Week 17: Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys: WIN (11-5)

By this point in the season, the Washington Redskins would have been out of the playoff picture for quite some time. While the Redskins may enjoy the opportunity to stun the Cowboys, chances are they won't have the ability to hang with them. This should be an easy yet exciting game for the Cowboys.
