A Twitter word-war was all over social media after former One Direction member Zayn Malik apparently dissed pop star Taylor Swift, and as expected her boyfriend Calvin Harris ran to her rescue leaving the two boys in a Twitter drama.
In a re-tweet Malik posted, the singer seemed to have made unsolicited remarks about Swift's decision several months ago to withdraw her music from Spotify and compared it to a comment Miley Cyrus made about being too rich to even care if anyone bought her albums or not. He ended the retweet stating, "The difference is astounding."

For Harris the tweet implied that his girlfriend Swift only cared about making money. Swift earlier encouraged fans to get her music from iTunes instead of Spotify where artists earn a measly penny for every song played, Time reported.
Thus, the Twitter-war began.
Harris tweeted Malik calling him out for his post. "You've made your money? Cool...f*** the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right?" he wrote.
He then continued to state in a few more tweets that Swift's decision was about every other artist out there making a living off of their music. Then, demanded that Malik stay out of things "you don't understand."
Malik was clearly not going to take Harris' strongly-worded tweets, so he slammed back, "@CalvinHarris ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself mate." In another tweet, he called Harris a "dickhead."
Meanwhile, a source told the Hollywood Life that there is absolutely more to the Twitter exchange than meets the eye. The source claimed in a report that Malik was never supportive of his band-mate Harry Styles dating Swift way back in 2012.
"[Taylor] acted like she was better than everyone," was how Malik described Swift according to the report.
Swift also allegedly knew about Styles misunderstanding with Malik, and the latter didn't appreciate that. To top it all, Swift recently went public supporting Perrie Edwards, who just happens to be Malik's ex, and her band Little Mix.
Swift hasn't made any comments about the Twitter war and may never will.
