For his 43^rd birthday, Ben Affleck and ex-wife Jennifer Garner spent a day at Disney World with their three children Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. However, eyewitnesses say they'd didn't look at all too happy on the special day.

The family went for rides together with friends and were spotted by onlookers trying out attractions like It's a Small World, Dumbo, the Cinderella Castle, and Peter Pan's Flight, sources told People.

But while some were surprised that they were 'reunited' even just for that day, more people were caught by their seemingly unhappy, uncomfortable, and tensed disposition, sources told the news site.

Another one noted that the couple and their kids barely had any interaction "There was never a point that all of them were really [interacting] together."

The Hollywood couple announced their divorce in June ending their 10-year marriage, but have since stressed that they will continue co-parenting their three children.

Affleck's mom was also seen with the group around the theme park. But it was evident that the ex-couple's efforts to act as a normal family is taking a toll and neither is taking it positively; especially not the birthday boy who was spotted looking "miserable" in one of the rides with his kids, Daily Mail reported.

Even as they tried to keep it low key, onlookers could not help but notice their entourage. Sources also noted both were still wearing their wedding bands.

However, another source close to the family gave the Garner and Affleck some credit for the effort they put in to prioritize their children, "Everyone had fun. They put [the kids] first no matter what. All Ben wanted for his birthday was to be with his children," the source told People.

Over the past week, the divorce turned ugly for Affleck after rumors of him having an affair with their former nanny Christine Ouzounian, whom a few sources say was the reason for the divorce.
