The plantiffs who claim that the Pacquiao-Mayweather mege fight that happened last May was a "fraud" will get their opportunity to have their court case heard by a judge in California. These people felt the sting of having to pay $100 for the pay-per-view fight that did not live up to the incredible hype. They want their money back.

The Judge, R. Gary Klausner, who also presided over the cases filed against Sony Movie Studios for the computer hacker, will be the individual who will decide whether or not the cases will be granted class-action status. These cases would need to gain the class-action status if they ever hope to proceed to trial.

A panel of various judges that were tasked to decide whether to combine all the similar fraud claims from different jurisdictions to a single courtroom ruled on Friday that the lawsuits that were filed in several states will have their cases heard in the Central District of California, where Pacquiao was believed to have injure his shoulder when training for the mega-fight. The panel believes that the questions regarding the case are complex enough for the cases to be consolidated.

Prior to the fight, Manny Pacquiao answered a pre-fight questionnaire that asked whether or not Pacquiao had any injuries that may require evaluation or examination. Pacquiao reportedly answered "no".

There have been at least 32 lawsuits filed during May in US States California, Florida, Illonois, Maryland Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. More have been filed since.

Plantiffs argue that Manny Pacquiao's injury wasn't revealed to them in a timely manner, many viewers who paid for the pay-per-view never heard about the injury till after the fight.

HBO and Showtime earned more than $400 million from the mega-fight, while both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. earned $100 million each.

Both fighters have stated their interest in a rematch, but so far nothing has come to fruition. Mayweather Jr. has an upcoming fight with Andre Berto on September 12, while Pacquiao is still recovering from his injury. There is speculation that Pacquiao may fight either Amir Kahn or the undefeated Danny Garcia.
