Android 6.0, also known as Marshmallow, was announced in May and will be available starting fall 2015; however, rumors indicate that this new operating system has not been able to fix the old security problems that the Android users across the globe are complaining about.

According to Recode, Android has announced the launch of its new operating system in May. While the new system is expected to hit markets this fall, rumors regarding the new features are already doing the rounds.

It is said that the features are not the only reason that have led to the news hitting headlines. Apparently, Google's latest operating system that is yet to hit the markets is not capable of addressing the major security threats that the users of the previous versions are facing.

Just last month, a security researcher had exposed the bug in the Android-based mobiles, which is called Stagefright that is said to house some of Android's worst vulnerabilities. Joshua Drake, the researcher who discovered the bug, confirmed its dangerous nature.

Google was quick to acknowledge the problem and respond with a solution; however, the solution seems to be a half baked effort. Soon after Google introduced a patch to Stagefright, another security firm discovered a new flaw, which was spotted on Google's patch, affecting Nexus devices exclusively.

While Google announced a sure fix to the hole soon, users are worried that the new version of the Android operating system will not be able to address these security concerns. The problem comes across as a major cause of concern especially because Android is planning to move to automobiles.

Meanwhile, another related report on Computer World says that Google has announced the final development tools for the upcoming version of Android, indicating the company's dedication to go ahead with its latest offering.
