Yes, it has been confirmed that the "Walking Dead" will be adding a new cast member in the next series. A casting audition for the new role of Jason has just been anounced.

Casting website. The TV series is currently looking for Latin or Caucasian men between the ages of 20s to 30s. Auditions for the new role state that the actor who would nab the part will play as a recurring guest star. he would star in the TV series for a few seasons.

So who exactly is Jason in the "Walking Dead" series? Jason is a character is reportedly "friendly, smart and charming with a puckish sense of humor." The casting call added that the yet-to-be introduced character "can be a mad thief, but he will only steal half of what you have, and only if he knows it won't cause any permanent damage. He's generally a benevolent guy -- pretty much making friends with everyone he meets."

The character of Jason was not in the original comic book written. Thus, this only means that his
character was added recently. Reasons being requests made by the producers in hopes of lengthening the hype of the series.

"The Walking Dead" season 6 will launch with a supersized 90-minute episode on Sunday,
Oct. 11, at 9 p.m. on AMC.

Reports add that Norman Reedus could possibly join a few episodes in season 6 as well. He was seen at the shooting on the set of "The Walking Dead." Having been spotted on the set last Monday, fans are wondering if he has a new role in the upcoming season of the show.
