According to Crossmap, there have been leaks indicating the possibility of a sequel to the extremely popular "Red Dead Redemption" to come next year. However, a recent revelation by Take Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent firm, indicates that the gamers have reason to expect the sequel to the popular game sometime in 2016. Quoting an anonymous user by the name of AnonDN 1978 on Reddit, the report goes on to explain that Rockstar has been working on a sequel for many years. The Reddit user also says that the game is most likely to be called "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of The West."
Feinstein,a senior developer in Rockstar, also confirmed the development, assuring fans that they can expect an official announcement sometime soon; however, the developer was tight lipped on hints as to what the gamers can expect in the upcoming series.
Rumors, on the other hand, indicate that the sequel will see the introduction of two new characters. It is believed that the two new characters will be Irish and Seth. While Seth is a banker in America, Irish is born in Ireland ( the name kind of gives it away) and ends up in America by the time he is 21-years-old.
This game will also come with a customizable character who can be used in various stages.
Both these characters will be pursuing a hidden treasure and that is pretty much the goal of the game. Meanwhile, according to MNR Daily, Take Two Interactive Rockstar's parent company has said that in the next year, it will introduce its AAA game. None of the titles announced so far are able to fit the AAA criteria hinting at the possibility of "Red Dead Redemption" sequel being the most eligible candidate.
