According to the Ecumenical News, when "Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F" opened to at least in 901 cinemas all over the United States, and within days, it has grossed to an overwhelming $4 million. The figures could beat the record held by Japanese anime entitled "Howl's Moving Castle," which earned $4.7 million shortly after it was released in theaters.

From the 901 theaters that catered "Dragon Ball Z," the animated film still earned an impressive amount in ticket sales. According to Deadline, "Dragon Ball Z: Ressurection F" is now a contender for the Anime Top 10 after it merely toppled "Howl's Moving Castle." A detailed earnings of the "Dragon Ball Z" series include $1.5 million when it opened in 901 cinemas all over the U.S., to 446 theaters until it dropped to only 54 theaters that still consecutively gave the anime film a combined $510,000 fro its U.S. and Canada fans.

"Dragon Ball Z: Ressurection F" has been surging internationally as they have made about $56.6 million in their overseas sales. Other animated films such as "The Wind Rise" who made $112.7 million overseas and the "Howl's Moving Castle" who made $230.4 million capitalized on their international releases, and assuming how the "Dragon Ball Z" is faring, it may find its spot on the Anime Top 10 eventually.
