Reports are surfacing throughout the Internet that "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" official release has been postponed. Could this be true?

Well, not really postponed, but Coming Soon cited that the film's launch date has been moved to an earlier slot instead. Originally set to kick off on May 2016, the date has been reportedly moved on March 25, 2016.

Warner Brother's chief executive officer Kevin Tsujihara explained that despite of the long debate, the film rescheduling is essential and just.

"It was a tough decision at the time because it was going to create a hole in 2015," he briefly explained. Confidently, the CEO also stated that he was able to watch the movie several times and the decision that was made would be beneficial for the much awaited film.

"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be the second known DC film after the release of Superman's "Man of Steel" in 2014, Gamespot noted.

Notably, the film will only be 8 weeks ahead of Marvel Cinematic Universe film "Captain America: Civil War" which will be premiered on May 6, 2016.

Provided that the original release date for the DC movie was scheduled on May as well, they might be trying to avoid the possible clash between the Avengers.

Apart from the "Batman vs. Superman" movie, several projects are on its way that could give a brighter future for the DC Cinematic Universe. David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" that features Gotham's villains is set to kick off on August 5, 2015, while standalone films such as "Wonder Woman" and "Aquaman" have reportedly been a work in progress.

On the other hand, actor Michael Shannon must have spilled some beans about the upcoming film. According to USA Today, his character, known as Zod, might be returning to defeat the caped crusader. However, upon looking at the official teaser, it seems like Zod might be used by Lex Luthor for experiments as he was seen lying on a lab table, deceased.

"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie features superheroes Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/ Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/ Superman and Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman.
