Selena Gomez admits that her failed relationship and difficult break up with Justin Bieber won't stop her from pursuing love.

In an interview she did with The Sunday Times, the "Good For You" singer opened up about her past relationship with Justin Bieber. The Latina said that media almost "destroyed" her and even to the point of helicopters following her around. This was during her very public relationship with Justin and even after they split.

The star admitted that being in a relationship with Justin before and being a teenager at the same time put a lot of pressure on her and constantly put her under the spotlight, Mirror reported.

"I didn't think I was doing anything bad by falling in love. There's such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it's good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager - it makes it more difficult," Selena said.

The singer further added that she is just enjoying her single life and said that her next relationship will be something she won't hide. Selena said that she's dating but doesn't really want anything right now.

Apart from Justin, Selena also spoke about her past flame Nick Jonas who also recently split from his beauty queen girlfriend Olivia Culpo. The two were reportedly dating when photos of them having dinner with friends surfaced all over the internet. However, Nick denied rumors that he is rekindling romance with Selena.

In another article by Hollywood Life, Selena also opened up about the purity ring that she famously wore while in a relationship with Jonas. She was spotted without it when she began dating Justin Bieber.

"I'm not embarrassed to say that," Selena said. "I'm also not embarrassed to say that the ring has come off. I got it when I was 13 and I respect so much what it represented, but it isn't for everyone." 

Apart from her love life, Gomez also gushed about her best friend in the business Taylor Swift. She described the "Style" singer as one of the greatest people. She recalled a time when Swift was there when she needed her.

"When I split with my first boyfriend [Nick Jonas] and I was really sad about it, she flew into town with homemade cookies and a bunch of junk food," Selena said. "To this day, if I called her, she would do the same thing, despite being one of the busiest people in the world."
