The future looks quite dark for Jared Fogle. More than a decade ago, he became quite popular promoting the health sandwiches from Subway, claiming to lose a lot of weight with the Subway diet and exercise alone. From there, he made a fortune. 

In the past months, there were allegations of child pornography and sexual exploitations that involved children as young as 6 years old against him. He recently pleaded guilty.

Katie Fogle, Jared's wife, confirmed to People that she has already filed for divorce, stating that she is still deeply devastated by the recent horrible events. Though her dreams of a happily ever after shattered, her focus is on raising her two very young children.

Here's her official statement, as released by her lawyers to Business Insider and other media publications:

"Obviously, I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared. I am in the process of seeking a dissolution of the marriage. My focus is exclusively on the well-being of my children. Neither I nor my family will have any further comment on the matter. I appreciate respect for my family's privacy during this difficult time."

Fogle's defense attorney, Jeremy Margolis also released their camp's statement, citing that Jared is now completely aware that he is mentally ill. A world-class psychiatrist is treating him and his decision to plead guilty is just the beginning of his complete change.

Fogle understands that he will have to undergo an intensive psychiatric treatment and counseling. Aside from the hefty fine that he will be required to give to all of his 14 victims, Jared is hopeful that the public will give him a chance to mend his ways.

Jared admitted to travelling to New York City repeatedly just to have sex with children. He not only has some materials on child pornography, but has been known to distribute it to other men who are interested in having sex with minors.
