Singaporean celebrity couple, Fann Wong and Christopher Lee are now proud parents to their bouncing baby boy whom they've named Zed, welcoming him into the world on Singapore's National Day.

Fann Wong gave birth to baby Zed Lee on August 9 at the Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and has announced the news on her personal Instagram account.

The 43-year old actress caption the photo, "Dear Zed, we cannot find the words to express our joy. Welcome to the family. Because of you, our lives are fulfilled. 9 August is a wonderful day. Wishing everyone a happy National Day."

The actress is now recovering from a 10-hour long labor which subsequently led to baby Zed being born via Caesarian section on doctor's  advice.

On the other hand, her husband, Christopher Lee, claimed to have practiced the whole Sunday on how to hold his new son on a telephone interview he had with a media outlet.

The actor seemed really happy, laughing as he tries to shrug off questions on whether he found it a difficult task to change diapers.

The 42-year old actor said it was easy, jokingly adding, "It's from my son, so it smells good." The actor has greeted numerous well-wishers, their friends and relatives, who came to the hospital to see his newborn child just two hours later.

The new proud father says he keeps on smelling his baby's hands and he has also shared that despite the number of people who came to see him, baby Zed has spent all day sleeping.

Christopher says that his first day as a father has been busy and interesting, but holding his son in his arms had been the highlight of his day.

When asked who the baby looks like, the actor proudly said his son looks just like him, but had some of his mother's features.

The two stars had been under media scrutiny since getting married in 2009 until the announcement came that Fann Wong is pregnant.
