With the continued appearances of more DC heroes in the "Arrow" TV series, the question is raised, why not Batman?

Batman is arguably the biggest name in the DC Universe and with the "grounded" theme in "Arrow," it's very logical that the Dark Knight will cross paths with Oliver Queen.

It was definitely an idea that the "Arrow" showrunners have explored. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tara Butters, wife of Marc Guggenheim (executive producer of "Arrow") had declared their desire for a Caped Crusader fly by.

"At the end of the day it'd be so awesome to have Batman on the show. That'd be really cool. I don't think that will be happening anytime soon, but you never know...one day. One thing we're always saying...we never expected to have had the Huntress [Jessica De Gouw], Deathstroke [Manu Bennett] or Deadshot [Michael Rowe]; we ended up with a lot more DC Comics characters becoming part of the show than we had ever planned."

Since there is always the possibility that any character might drop in, why not take the best? This was addressed by Stephen Amell, Oliver Queen actor himself. He is already working with another guest actor, Matt Ryan a.k.a. Constantine.

The question was raised in Wizard World in Chicago, and the actor gave a straight answer: "In the same way that... [Ezra Miller's] playing the Flash in the cinematic universe -- theoretically, we haven't seen him yet -- I see no reason why we couldn't have our own Bruce Wayne. That's my opinion; that might not be DC's opinion, and they're the bosses."

Amell has a point since it has already been made official that the CW Universe does not exist in the same plane as the DC Extended Universe. If Warner Bros. can have their own version of "The Flash" in Ezra Miller, then why can't they have they're on version of Batman, or any other DC character for that matter.

Screen Rant noted that Amell called out DC Entertainment chief Diane Nelson for being "unenthusiastic" about such a crossover, citing "unnecessary character overlap." However, with The Flash, the deadshot with the bow and arrow seems to have hit the bullseye.
