The Washington Wizards need a stretch four to fill in for new recruit Jared Dudley, who needs to undergo back surgery, as the power forward who can nail three-pointers.

After much modernizing  in the summer by beefing up the wing, adding three-point shooters and making themselves generally more versatile, the Wizards learned that Dudley might be out ofr a moment.

Questions then arose as to who should take over as stretch four.

Acccording to CSN Mid-Atlantic's J. Michael, the deficiency could be addressed if  6'7" forward Martell Webster could overcome his surgically-repaired back.

Webster, who signed a four-year, $22 million deal in 2013, knocked down triples at a respectable rate before struggling with health woes last season.

Michael noted that Webster had cut about 15 pounds but has to recover his shooting touch, especially from three-point range, which dropped to  23.3 percent last season.

Small forward Otto Porter can put in some power forward minutes for the Wizards whenever they play small ball.

But if Webster can consistently knock down threes while Dudley is easing himself back from surgery, there's a chance he can find a spot in the rotation.

Meanwhile, CSN Washington's Ben Standig feels Kris Humphries, who's always been a decent jump shooter, could also serve as their stretch four.

Humphries has always been a rugged power forward who mucles his way for rebounds.

Standig noted that 11-year veteran may still be evolving, suggesting that is great news for the Wizards.

The 30-year-old Humphries, along with teammates Nene, are working to add a 3-point shot to their games.

With the Wizards needing him to occasionally hit from the outside, this is now an opportunity for him to showcase what he's been working on.
