There were rumors that an asteroid would hit and end Earth sometime between Sept. 15 and 28, 2015 near Puerto Rico; however, NASA denies such allegations on the recent NASA press release.
"There is no scientific basis -- not one shred of evidence -- that an asteroid or any other celestial object will impact Earth on those dates, "If there were any object large enough to do that type of destruction in September, we would have seen something of it by now," said NASA's Spaceguard (Near-Earth Object) Manager, Paul Chodas.

Chodas added that these destructive asteroids rumors have been spreaded over the years and the only way to end it is through education. He also confirmed that there is not even a single object that could hit and destroy Earth in the next century.
Spaceguard monitors and can keep track any asteroid and the comet that is within 30 million miles of the Earth. They use both ground and space-based telescopes and also identifies an object can predict their paths.
According to Tech Times, three scientists revealed that NASA's (Spaceguard) technique needs a lot of time to discover things in outer space. Smaller telescopes take time to see things while the larger telescope takes a shorter exposure and covers the same part with more sensitivity.
Astrophysical journal accepted the research result they believe that the process is still young and still needs a lot of work to be done.
In 2011, there were other rumors about the comet Elenin to strike Earth on Dec. 21, 2012. This was predicted to end Earth with the large asteroid impact. Other deadly-asteroid rumors were the 20014 BL86 and the 2014 YB35, so far their flyby on our planet in January and March went without any incidents, NASA confirmed.
NASA also added that this rumor is no longer new and this may also not be the last as this is the worldwide favorite of the web.
NASA may be able to answer these rumors, but the outer space was known to everyone full of passing objects, debris, asteroids and comets. What everyone wants to know is the answer to the question "are we still safe?"
