Queen B no longer reigns on Instagram. Beyoncé's impressive 44 million followers have been surpassed by Kim Kardashian's 44.1 million followers.

Beyonce has been the most-followed person on Instagram for as long as everybody can remember. But the time has come for the queen to relinquish the throne to Kim Kardashian West, who now has 44,005,604 followers. Queen B is now in second place with 43,935,64.
A few weeks ago, the pregnant Kardashian posted a photo of her cleavage with a caption "42 mil." Kanye's wife has been gaining followers at a faster rate. It comes as no surprise as the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star has been posting thrice as many photos as Beyoncé. She currently has 3,022 posts to date.
US Magazine gave a complete rundown of the top celebrities followed on Instagram:
1. Kim Kardashian - 44,005,604
2. Beyoncé - 43,935,648
3. Taylor Swift - 43,533,226
4. Selena Gomez - 41,843,095
5. Ariana Grande - 41,696,873
6. Justin Bieber - 36,994,254
7. Kendall Jenner - 35,388,483
8. Kylie Jenner - 33,703,166
9. Nicki Minaj - 32,278,123
10. Khloé Kardashian - 30,522,261
It seems like the Kardashian clan is dominating the social photo-sharing app with Kendall and Kylie Jenner grabbing the 7th and 8th place while Khloé Kardashian is at the 10th place.
With a new baby on the way, fans can expect more photos from the new queen of Instagram. Kardashian has previously promised fans certain body shots when she reaches a certain number of followers. By the looks of it, the technique worked for her.
Tech Insider reports that both Beyoncé and Kim post family photos and selfies, but the latter includes lengthier and more personal captions, which makes it more appealing to her followers.
